Re: Football Season 2011/12
Excellent result for Chelsea and high time an English club won something against the Germans on penalties.
It wasn't pretty and they had to hang on in there but to beat Barcelona and then Bayern in Munich is a fantastic feat!
Well done Chelsea!!!!!!!!

Tottenham can do nothing about it. They were the better team this season and they get it taken from them over something they have no control over. How is that fair?

Yes, they can't sue anyone. However it was always unlikely that a team that can't finish in the top four can win the Champions League. Spurs were the better team by far this season. I feel awful for them.

People were moaning in 2005 when Liverpool won the CL and failed to qualify in terms of league position. Back then, it was a grey area, and rules were amended so this wouldn't happen again. All teams entering the PL knew the rules at the start. No-one was mugged.
Having said that: Football didn't win tonight. It's sad to see anti-football win. And one has to wonder why. Chelsea looked very threatening when they went forward. It's a shame they decided to park the bus and only play a quarter of the game.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
but then you have to consider Bayerns chances, Barcas. they failed to score. thats anti football, passing the ball to death and as a Arsenal fan I know how that feels.
Chelsea got lucky but when push come to shove up the other end they scored, they responded. I feel weird sticking up for them but its fact. Bayern failed, Barca failed, Napoli failed.... Chelsea stood up tall against attack after attack and got rewarded. again its not their problem that the teams facing them failed to score many goals.
They faced us inbetween the Barca fixtures. We should have won by many goals but failed to score. it ended in a draw.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Truly sensational. Brilliant job Chelsea.
Couldn't have shouted in joy any louder than I did when Drogba scored the winning penalty.
