Re: Virgin launch a range of Android handsets
I ordered the X10 for my daughter yesterday and it arrived today. It seems OK - not as large as I thought it would be. Personally, I would have gone for the Desire but you just can't tell them can you? She likes it.
My main 'worry' is if the Desire is anything like my other daughters HTC, it would at least have a glass screen rather than the X10s plastic one.
Also, oddly annoying is the lack of pinch / pull for zooming in and out on the X10 but having read up - it's apparently 'a feature' i.e. it doesn't work now and never will due to HW limitations.
Also a bit gutted at the non-budging of the £30 pm tariff on Virgins behalf considering we have the VIP pack and also another 2 mobiles with them

Re: Virgin launch a range of Android handsets
Yes there is a 4GB Micro SD card in the phone as standard.
Vrigin have now got a lot of decent handsets with more on the way.

Re: Virgin launch a range of Android handsets
Do Virgin use T-Mobile's or 3's 3G network cause I was looking into switching to Virgin Mobile but when I popped a 3 SIM card in my phone, there was either no 3G signal or it was very weak. In fact the only decent 3G signal I can seem to get at home is O2 (My current network) and Orange.

Re: Virgin launch a range of Android handsets
Right, thanks I was getting quite confused though cause I read that T-Mobile use 3's network for 3G and their own for 2G

So lol, That phone is terrible, I would rather have a better phone with a smaller mem card Its easy enough to buy a new card though.

Re: Virgin launch a range of Android handsets
I'm close to changing over to virgin from orange to get desire
Do i have to get the PAC code from orange before i call virgin to arrange the new contract? i've never done this before, been with orange around 12 years now.

Re: Virgin launch a range of Android handsets
Well just so you all know I got my X10 on Orange and have only found one fault with it thus far and that is the battery. first few charges could only get about 9 hours out of the phone, but after a few full drains and recharges, battery will probably last a day and a half with moderate use. Not brilliant I know but liveable. Lets just hope it gets OS 2.1 or 2.2 soon so I can enjoy even better features. Android rules and at least you can choose which form it comes in.
