Ryder Cup 2010
I think the europeans will do well this year, the Americans are struggling for form at the moment even though they have the world number 1 and 2. I am quite surprised they have picked Tiger Woods because he is not in the best of form and even when he was he did not do particularly well in the Ryder Cup.

Re: Ryder cup
This might be the time when you don't want to play tiger, he might be more focussed, to take some of the focus off his private life.

Ryder Cup 2010
It's here and it's wet!
From 0745 till 0945 when the torrential rain and waterlogged course knackered things its currently sitting at 3-1 in favour of the Europeans.
Doesn't look there will be any play until later this afternoon.

Re: Ryder cup
No. I went into John Lewis, to look at the 3D tvs, but they had poor service, so never seen it tested. But was tempted
HD is acceptable

I'm wearing a wet suit watching it in 'underwater TV' mode..
Giving the demands of the US tour calendar I can see future Ryder Cup contests this side of the Atlantic being moved to parts of Europe where the weather at this time of year is likely to be more conducive to entertaining golf than scuba diving.

Re: Ryder Cup 2010
Sounds like fun in the Europe team room, according to Martin Kaymer "Luke Donaldson is playing with himself"

If Tiger had taken some lessons from Luke he might not have gotten into such deep doodoo.

Re: Ryder Cup 2010
Play resumes at 1700 tonight.
Regardless of further delays the tournament finishes on Monday at sunset.

Re: Ryder Cup 2010
I understand that if the worst happens and the competition can't be completed then any unfinished matches will be halved. I think it'd be fairer to base the final result on the standings in each match at the time play is called off.

Not really fair, as someone 5 down with 6 holes to play, could still win.
Fairest result, is to call it a draw, unless it has already been won. Hence why they agreed it.

Agreed there's no perfect solution but at least my way means that the team actually doing the best at the time wins as opposed to what might have been the case had there been a few more holes played. Under the current rule you could be 8 up with 9 to play and it'll be called a draw. Don't see how that's fairer - it's far more likely that the team ahead at the time would go on to win than the team so far behind would stage a miraculous recovery.
