Re: Longmire
Nope.
It's on a network I've never heard of, and I don't know of any of the cast except for Lou Diamond Phillips and Katee Sackhoff.

Re: Longmire
You not watch The Glades? That's also on that network. I did watch a bit of the first episode of this but fell asleep.

Re: Longmire
What do you expect from a mid west modern day Sheriff show??? Laser fights and gruesome alien abductions ?????????...
Personally I thought that it set up some of the characters up quite well, the story basis was good and I can see lots of storyline being created with some real development of those characters..
It got a thumbup from me, but then again I don't expect all modern day shows to be purely action based like most people do..

Re: Longmire
It's been one episode which wasn't even a feature length pilot... give it a chance
Personally I found that the first episode set up the main characters extremely well..
- Walt the estranged Sheriff who's only just getting his head back in the game after his wife died.
- Vic the ex-big city homocide detective trying to adjust to the slower pace.
- Cady the sheriffs daughter who might have a few secrets of her own.
- Branch who's the egotistical deputy who thinks he can be sheriff better than anyone else.
Along with a few good supporting characters such as LDP's Henry Standing Bear it should be a good series for those who want to watch a mid west police drama.
It won't be for everyone but to say that it'll probably get cancelled after watching 45 minutes is a bit ridiculous

Re: Longmire
I actually did fall asleep, just not had time to finish watching it yet. I'll try and get it finished today.

Re: Longmire
Watched #3 of this and it's turned out to be quite good.. Walt's character is every bit as stubborn and mysterious as you'd expect (reminds me of Gibbs from NCIS)

I take it you've never watched Smallville as you'll recognise one character (Walt's daughter)

I"ll be honest, I have not watched the show, so will not judge it, but the website does make a point of the show being action packed.
I'll give it a go at some point though. While I like action shows, I also like shows that are not necessarily action packed, but give a good story for the viewer to get their teeth into.

So you keep repeating.
Time to realise that some people actually expect a bit of action, not be bored to sleep.
