Merged-D-day for Glasgow 2014 bid
friday's the day Glasgow will know if thay have won the bid to host 2014 Commonwealth Games,
If thay do win this bid it's only because the canadian city of halifax pulled out of the race so thay'd be default winners

Re: D-day for Glasgow 2014 bid
Why am I having vision of the scene in Trainspotting where American tourist comes into the pub and asks 'May I use your bathroom' - and all the gang follow him in there to rob him?

"Shots" being the operative word, as in "shooting up"......

Re: D-day for Glasgow 2014 bid
It is excellent news for Glasgow &, hopefully, a boost for sports in general across Scotland.
Rumours that the Nigerian city spoiled their chances by asking for the Commonwealth Games Council bank account details so they could place a deposit for their proposed stadium, haven't been proved
