Vivid 200 Gamer - Hub type

While looking through my most recent bills and comparing prices on the VM website, I've concluded that I can save myself about £10 per month just by dropping the phone portion, which in the 15 years or so of being with NTL/VM, I have literally never used.

I'm paying roughly £55 per month for the Vivid 200 plus the basic talk weekend phone package - but what I'm wondering was seeing if I can get the phone dropped but move to the Vivid 200 Gamer package which should still save me about £5 per month and the upload increase would coma in handy as I do sometimes work from home.

So before I call CS (but I'll probably short cut the process and go straight to retentions), what I'd like to know is would my existing SH2 be suitable or would it need to be swopped out? When the last set of speed upgrades happened and I went from 152 to 200, my old SH1 was replaced (and not before time) and I was send a 2 (slightly annoyed as I was expecting a 2ac but as I run the thing in modem mode anyway, it doesn't really matter).

So as long as the 2 can handle the throughput (probably yes) and VM have a provisioning profile for Vivid 200 Gamer for it (?) it should just be a case of calling them up and getting the config pushed down - right?

Would I be liable for an activation fee? presumably it'll start a new contract but that'll be OK.

Just thought I would take some advice before calling them up.

Many thanks in advance.
