I'm driving, wife is looking at the map/road atlas and 'navigating'. We are nearing our destination:
I say (a bit confused) "let me know when we pass the road
before the road that we need to turn into" (so that I've got a bit of warning before the turn)
She says: "How will I know?"
I say: (getting a bit more exasperated) "look at the next roads name that we pass, then you will know where we are relative to where we are going"
She says: "How will that tell me where we are?"
I say: "You're holding the <expletive> map"
She says: "I can't read the road names on the map while I'm holding it upside down and if I turn it round I won't know which way we are going on it"
and that's when the argument started.......

To be fair, mine can do that very well and is an excellent driver. (but does love the middle lane on a motorway)
