Re: ITV Box office showing Live events

They're back with this crap. £20 quid for a lad that'd generally be on Sky Sports 1.

He'll fight Arthur Abraham on ITV box office.

Seriously. Give the undercard away for free and sell the main event for a fiver. UFC have done well on that front by doing FTA events every other week dubbed 'Fight Night' note that UFC PPV's were bought outright by BT anyway for UK airtime. But they also stream the UFC undercard for free and keep the five main fights behind a paywall in the US. Obviously there's still a bit to groan about at the cost but UFC stack their cards with elite fighters.

What you have here is ITV asking you to throw your money at them for a pretty below par undercard and a mediocre main event. Granted it's probably the biggest test of Eubanks career but he's already lost to worse.

Sky used to do this with a young Amir Khan at lightweight. His streak and knockout days, the build up of his career. They sharp stopped when people got annoyed at paying £16 quid to see Khan school a bum.
