Well, except for the time in 1988 when he got fired from the Times for two made up stories, or the time in November last year he told the House of Commons that
“there can be no return to a hard border. There can be no hard border. That would be unthinkable, and it would be economic and political madness”, but said this year that it should not be the UK’s priority to ensure there is “no border” between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, but rather that it should make sure such a border should not be “significantly harder”, or the time during the Brexit campaign when he said it was absolutely crazy that the EU was setting rules on the shape of bananas (spolier alert - it wasn't, and that has been continuously debunked since 1994, but continues to raise it's ugly head every so often), or the time he got fired as Shadow Arts Minister in 2004 for lying about affairs he had had.
