Wireless Problem

Ok I have a Wireless LAN at home, I have the ethernet cable from the cable modem plugged into the router and another ethernet cable plugged from my PC to the router. The other PC in the network has a WLAN PCI card. That works well.

But basically my uncle got NTL broadband, the engineer came and connected the broadband connection at the STB. But basically his PC is upstairs, and also wants to network his laptop to share the internet wirelessly. How would he do this?

He has purchased a wireless router.

But how would I network my uncles PC & laptop wirelessly? Is it possible to do it WITHOUT having a network cable from the PC to the router then router to the STB, is there any other way apart from this? Since it would mean a lot of wiring from upstairs to downstairs!

Thanks
