One Service

Sky is starting to roll out there new customer service support which is called One Service. I have been on the trial for a while now and i must say it is brilliant compared to a lot of companies. Below are some bullet points on what some of the new things are.

* The introduction a concierge service when calling customer services (No automated IVR/press option 1, etc).

* My Help Request - a new way of getting in touch with us. This also gives you a viewable record of any notes added by our team.

* The New MySky home page - making it easier to find what you are looking for and gives you information on free services you are entitled to such as Sky Go, Sky 3D etc.

At the moment the new MySky page is not the new page as i think they are still working on that. They had it up for a while but it caused a few issues with different things. I have used the help request a few times and its great. You can see a viewable set of notes, you can see the requests that are still open and being looked into and you get a text message everything it has an update which is good as well.

I just want more basic information to be easily available without the need of calling SKY.

1. Make it easy for me to find my contract expiry date
2. Make it easily known how much it'll cost me to cancel my services in contract
3. Make it easy to cancel my contract online

Very basic stuff but you could end up on the phone for 15 minutes just to speak to someone.

Why would you want to cancel services in contract  especially if you were on half price everything. Wouldn't it make sense to complete your contract then move on , these providers are that desperate for new customers there literally chucking deals around every month.

Because I'm on 50% off, it's really cheap for me to cancel my contract should I wish to move to another provider. It was however a nightmare to find out how much it would cost. Here are the prices if you are on full rates but nothing anywhere if you are on half rates:

Virgin should have another 50% off for 12 months deal running at the end of October. It'll be worth buying out my last 2 months of contract to get another year of half price TV, with BT Sports included.

Just weighing up my options.
