I'm out of my depth here.
I'm in awe of the athletes, and then feel completely a pathetic individual.
Seeing them compete makes me weep tears.

I think that there has been a lot of eye-opening throughout the build-up and coverage for me though.
I struggle to get over my feeling of sadness for people who have risen above my comparative patheticness.

My admiration is enormous.

Not impressed by the fact that I cannot seem to be able to catch up with events I missed. What the hell are people who are at work supposed to do?Record EVERY event?

Catch-up coverage starts early, and then early evening on Ch4 as a' catch up'. A lot of coverage is aimed at people who work 9-5. If you can't watch it live then I'm sure it's going to be better than any daytime TV :)

Nope! So far I have been unable to catch Jonathan Fox winning gold.I get a 10 second replay of the last 10 seconds. The video on the Channel 4 site won't work.So I'm not impressed.

Have you tried the news channels? - It was on BBC1 I think and Ch4 - but not much coverage.
You're being very specific with your choice of coverage by Ch4.

l am afraid that the other news channels can not show more then just a few minutes a day because thats all they are allowed under the terms of the rights agreement.

Not really. He won two of the two gold medals GB won on the first day and I just happened to be otherwise occupied when he did.All the other videos for our medal winners worked but not his though I'm fairly sure there weren't any for all the bigger majority who weren't GB athletes at all.

Yes they have done a tremendous job covering all the athletes and their back stories but unless the public can replay specific events that they have missed it's not going a real success for CH4.

At least if I missed an Olympic event I could replay it on the BBC website.

Saw Jonathon win yesterday - awesome swim, crowd were amazing, loads of world & paralympic records and what can you say about the volunteers, they were just fantastic - just wish I'd bought tickets for lots more events - if you've yet to go you'll have a great time.

My family took me to the Excel centre to see Zoe Newson win a bronze in one of the women's powerlifting events. The gold medallist set a new world record.

We also watched judo, volleyball and table tennis.

Brilliant atmosphere.
