Dogs found in raid

"Eighty-three dogs believed stolen have been seized in a police raid.

The animals were found during an almost 10-hour search of West Meadows travellers' site in Ipswich on Saturday."

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-56475355

This comes after a large number of stolen dogs were found in a South Wales traveller's site.

I know it might be considered as racial profiling but I hardly find it a surprise they were found on a travellers site. Dogs are getting robbed where I live to often literally snatched from the owners arms. Well whoever are doing it they are **** of the Earth

It's happening with increasing regularity because they are now worth more because of increased demand due to the pandemic.

After a friend nearly had hers stolen by two men in a car driving on the wrong side of the road I warned Hugh about this as he was talking about taking his dog for a walk. These people would think nothing about pushing him over and taking his dog, absolutely nothing.

My friend now carries a rape alarm with her when she takes hers out as she is so afraid.

If there was more forensic analysis of the bags of poo left hanging on trees, the police could track these dogs. They are missing a trick there. (Or are they too busy looking for missing people?)

If people didn't pay silly prices for 'cute'/pedigree dogs it wouldn't be a problem.

Try blaming the offending Travellers.

Indeed, there's to much of that imo, might as well go whole hog, we have a problem with pick pocketing, legalise it then it's no longer a problem and it's the victins own fault for having things of value in their pockets

A main road has been closed on the outskirts of Cardiff due to a "serious disturbance" and reports of an assault. All around a travellers site that has had other "serious disturbances" recently.

Nobody can touch them, protected by ridiculous archaic laws that are well overdue to be amended.

Agreed, let's not blame the victims!

Let's hope the dog owners had had the foresight to get their pets chipped so they can be reunited with their families.

Maybe we should chip people too, 176,000 reported missing each year, yet we seem to care more about dogs.

Great idea Mr K, but can you imagine the outcry :D

Different chip technology anyway, pets that are 'found' and scanned can be reunited with their owners because of the info on the chip, you'd need a tracking type chip to trace people who are missing . . although many people constantly now carry one in their mobile phone ;)
