Hitron how many streams?

I know the Hitron router is only given out to business customers, I'm just curious how many down and up streams it can lock on to?

Is it any better than SH3?

Uses the same Puma 6 chipset, so it will be the same.

I would imagine the only difference other than the manufacturer would be the firmware which should be more suited to businesses.

The Hitron supports up to 24 downstream channels and up to 8 upstream.

It's datasheet quotes it as suitable for up to 1.3 Gb/s down and 240 Mb/s up

Depends on the area you're in. Up to 24 as Carmack said.

GUI is more responsive. Not much different than when using a Hub 3, except for the option of static IP's.

Picking up on Pip's "should", there's no business orientation in the Hitron. It merely has a firmware addition that establishes a GRE Tunnel through the Dynamic IP address assigned from the VM host; that tunnel goes through to the VMB equipment which can then assign static public IP addresses to routers or firewalls or other devices as set up for the customer. It's basically a frig, using the same upstream/downstream channels as are offered to residential users.

Thanks guys, I was hoping it would be different chipset wise to the SH3, would've moved to business if it did.
