If any of the links that suggest that they are linked are associated with Mercola, David Wolfe, Food Babe, or Natural news just ignore them ;) trust your Doctor

Meh. Some GPs still deny that statins can cause muscle pains. But, yes, reasonable advice :D

most doctors print that out now when you get them for first time worth doing and following advice, or take it with you to doctor if they are still in dark ages ;) or get a new doctor

if you really feel it the meds though you should or get your doctor to use the Yellow card scheme
