Monitor changes to screen of lines when left ?

1 Attachment(s)
Hi all

I have a problem that when I leave my PC (windows 10) after about an hours the monitor just goes to a screen with very thin pink/red vertical lines (see photo attached) and that's it........... I can't do anything to get it back and end up having to switched PC from the reset button.

Hasn't happen yet when actually using the PC. Monitor is a Dell S2415H(DBMI) checked all the cables are tight and they appear ok.

Would appreciate any comments or advice.

Many thanks for your help and time

Regards

Mike

Usually a graphics card / driver problem
Try updating the video drivers

If that doesn't resolve it then most likely the card itself.

Could you please confirm how this is done as looked in device manager and could see video drivers anywhere

Thanks

They are listed under Display adapters.

right click the windows icon at the bottom left of the screen and choose 'device manager'
then click on 'display adapters' and then your display device. click on drivers.
Then click update driver, choose search on internet from the options and hopefully it will either find and install or say best drivers already installed.
If no new drivers then it might be a physical problem that needs fixing
