The English Football Association has been accused of damaging the image of Fifa and flouting bidding rules in its attempt to stage the 2018 World Cup.
A Fifa report says the FA behaved improperly when trying to win the backing of a key voter.
Didn't see that coming but can't say I'm surprised. As usual FIFA are innocent and the rest of the world is corrupt..

Sadly FIFA and the corrupt officials that run it will continue unabated and put their own interests first as usual.:td:

It's all happening now! The one who did the investigating, Michael Garcia, says Fifa report "contains numerous materially incomplete and erroneous representations of facts + conclusions" and he's going to appeal the way his investigation has been presented! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...estigator.html

Who investigates the investigators? Will they have an investigation to find out? This needs investigation....

Well if FIFA want to make this personal and start playing dirty then that's exactly how they should be dealt with in response.

Unfortunately for them, making this political and criticising another country's interests will probably be their final mistake. Hopefully this toxic organsation will have dissolved well before this 2022 farce.

The guy who did the actual investigating says that the FIFA report is nonsense.

Haha. You just knew FIFA would present something entirely different to the actual report. Absolute disaster. Fact is plain and simple, you don't need a lawyer to see the corruption in FIFA. It's bigger than anyone thought and the problem is uncovering the extent of it threatens to rip FIFA apart. Sepp Blatter is by far the most controversial man in football. His speeches and actions should have seen him removed a long time ago. The fact he even allowed a country full of fascists, homophobes and neo nazis host a world cup is a disgrace. Calling for Qatar to be stripped is one thing but what about the gigantic mess that is Russia.

He held back goal line technology for years and no doubt he'll hold back any sort of MLS system for divers and cheats in Europe.

Let's have a world cup, let's make it about embracing culture in his words, let's have it in Russia where there's more corruption than Vodka. Weekly racial abuse in football and Russian hooligans beyond belief. In the words of Ian Holloway. Genius

How do people at FIFA end up at the top of a sport governing organisation without having had any experience of the game. Platini as much as a knob as he is has far more credentials than blatter.

A voting system designed because allowing countries to vote (except the bidders) would result in political voting. Yet we're sat here certain that they're taking backhanders.

Oh dear, Report found nothing? Now criminal charges, what a disaster.

FIFA is in tatters, right on the verge of being exposed in the biggest footballing scandal in history.

The sooner we get rid of the sham that FIFA is the better.
