Video Door Bell
Can anyone recommend a video door bell that doesn't require any wiring and easy to install please?
Thanks. |

Eufy

Re: Video Door Bell
Another vote for Eufy. Depending on what functionality you want then if you go the eufy route you may need a a Homebase and also you may depending on where you’re mounting it need an increased angle wedge.

Re: Video Door Bell
I have the Ring View Cam which replaces a peep hole which is good cuz most of the electronics are inside the house. Most battery doorbell cams can be easily stolen

Re: Video Door Bell
I don't have a Eufy doorbell but I do have a couple of Eufy cameras and they're excellent.
As for doorbells I use Aosu (off Amazon). Cheaper (and arguably more reliable) than Ring, easy to set up and works really well. It also has an anti theft alarm. |

Can anyone link me to any please?
Thanks. |
Re: Video Door Bell
https://en-uk.ring.com/products/door-view-cam this is what I have. The reason I prefer this model is it fits through the door with the battery on the inside of the house. A lot of the models can have the battery removed by just removing a tiny screw on the bottom

Re: Video Door Bell
Can anyone provide links on Amazon or Currys etc where I can buy what they recommend? Thanks.
I just want one that's good quality, easy to setup with no electrical wiring like some ring doorbells require. |

Mine is a couple of years old so no longer available, but this looks like the current equivalent:

I have a ring 3 doorbell. Decent quality. Runs off a rechargeable battery.

Re: Video Door Bell
I bought a Blink doorbell with the sync box 2.
no subscription required, I can review all clips remotely. Batteries last about a year. I have a white LED streetlight and as such I don't need to use the IR on the camera |
Re: Video Door Bell
Used to have Ring, but when they put the subs up to £4.99 a month (from £2.99 a couple of years ago), I moved to the back of the house as a movement sensor/video cam (no clips stored), and replaced it with Blink Cam on the front of the house, and the clips are stored (as an option, you can still store them to the cloud for a sub) on a base unit with a USB memory stick - no monthly subs.
Update - just saw that Hom3r was posting the same thing at the same time... |
