I take what KIC say with a pinch of salt since they started bulling their alleged viewing figures up to being more than Sky Sports! Still, I hope that this isn't an excuse to cover up funding problems and that the channel does indeed return. |
Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
I think what they are saying is more than likely the case. They have been in regular service for exactly a year, so the deal with their initial provider has probably lapsed. Looking at their Facebook page there is talk of them having to load several hundred hours of programme material onto new servers in preparation for next week.
PS. There is an error in what is quoted above in that the Freeview feed will be the first to return, followed by satellite. |
Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
KIC have now fired up their new online player & it looks like they are testing the playout system:

Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
Freeview 87 should now be live.
Sky 389 & Freesat 516 should return in the next 24 to 48 hours. Normal programming is scheduled to resume on Monday 6th February. |
Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
A blessed relief I'd should think. Maybe fans of 'keep it country' can find a life in the meantime...

As a PS. The channel has again temprarily dissapeared from Freesat (it can still be manually tuned (11082 H at 22000) on Freesat equipment). KIC are assuring people via social media that this will be fixed by Monday. Just tuned my box in manually & came across a channel called Showbiz TV on the same transponder running a non-stop country music show (CM&T) |
Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
Knowing my luck if I tried to tune anything in manually I would lose everything.

Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
Just heard KIC have now opened up on a new transponder on Astra 2E (the current output is on Astra 2G).
The new transponder is on 11426 V 27500. Looks like a transponder switch may be the reason its not on Freesat yet. |
Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
The re-launch date has now been put back a week to Monday 13th February. Got the feeling they want to make sure they can launch to all three platforms at the same time.

Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
I was beginning we were not receiving it at all on Freesat , Thanks

Latest I read was to be Monday 13th,

Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
There appears to be a stalemate at the moment. KIC say everything is in place to go back on Freesat & are blaming them for the delays. Freesat are saying its a problem at KIC that is preventing the channel returning.
Suppose we will just have to wait. As above you can tune manually to KIC for now (although you cant record). |
Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
Beginning to be a pain in the neck, How do you tune in manually?
|
Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
That depends on your Freesat box Nash. You will have to go into your settings and look for a manual tune option. If you can find it, the tuning details you need are in post 16 above.

Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
Good news.
Freesat & KIC seem to have resolved their issues. Channel detials will be available on Wed 22nd Feb. Hopefully things will be up & running soon after. https://www.facebook.com/82493565094...type=3&theater |
Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
So Happy about this news
|
Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
From what I can gather, KIC moved to the old capacity of truTV +1.
truTV +1 had been kicked off the Sky EPG for non compliance of Sky EPG rules. |
Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
KIC re-launches on Freesat channel 516 on 28th February.

Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
Every time I look for the new date is changes again to a later date,
|
Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
All the info so far has come from KIC until todays announcement that was directly from Freesat themselves. So I think we can treat todays info as correct.
|
Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption
Looking forward to watching it again

Re: Keep it Country - Temporary interruption

Keep it Country Temporary interruption
Hi all. Keep It Country TV is now scheduled to start on Monday 25th Jan 2016 at 1300 GMT but not 24/7 yet. It will be on SKY Channel 261 but the Freesat Channel has not yet been allocated. They hope to cover all tastes. Lets see how well they do. At least someone is trying.

This thread is over 9 months old. The channel did launch in 2016 & was given Freesat channel 516 just after launch. It has also since moved to Sky channel 389. This thread was started due to KIC changing providers AFTER A YEAR OF OPERATION on both Sky & Freesat. If you are going to post please check your facts first. |
All times are GMT +1. The time now is 13:07. |
