Wikipedia doesn't seem to like VPNs...

I just tried editing a Wikipedia page - and apparently I've been blocked from editing until 2022!

Now the reason given is perfectly understandable, viz. my IP address is obscured by Norton VPN...but surely that's the idea? They do know about KRACK, so surely they should expect many if not most editors to start using a VPN?

On the other hand, clearly the VPN's doing its job, so this is a classic no-score win, as the late Terry Pratchett would've put it. :p:

Perhaps we should block vpns here as well. :)

I dont really see why you would need a VPN just to edit a wiki page.

Mmm, I could just turn the VPN off temporarily. Possibly I'm getting paranoid in my old age. :p:

...and Wikipedia seems quite happy to let me edit pages if the VPN's off, as I've just tried it. Hmm.
