Aussie Channels abandon HD sport
Don't expect to much Aussie sport in HD unless Fox Sports are showing it :(

Re: Aussie Channels abandon HD sport
It mainly concerns costs of HD when shown on free to view networks, no point in paying more for the coverage if you're not getting paid any more for showing it..
Premium channels are still showing HD |

Re: Aussie Channels abandon HD sport
The network feeds and cameras at events should still be HD.. Just because C10 only show's a sport it doesn't mean to say that they are the ones filming it.. Most sports are now filmed by 3rd party companies that are contracted to provide the stream to the production companies.
So you may find that it has no effect on ESPN or other premium channels |

Good point Kymmy , come to think I've been to the rugby and seen them filming with HD cameras but the BBC have only shown in SD , granted I'm talking a year or two back.

Re: Aussie Channels abandon HD sport
Something relevant is that in AUS they're still waiting for their digital switchover so currently digital bandwidth is at a premium.. hence only popular content is being show and things like sport is being pushed to the side. After 2013 it should all change
