I always remember him saying get down Shep and for some reason I would end giggling away at this, to me he was the best presenter on Blue Peter.

In my mind he has never grown old, hearing this sad news has reminded me of what a good presenter he was and how much I enjoyed watching his exploits.

RIP Noaksey.

RIP John Noakes

Probably because there was a comedy record that someone brought out. The only lyrics that I can remember are "get down Shep, do as you're told sit down". Not sure if it was John Noakes saying it or an impressionist.

It was the Barron Knights. Pretty sure they did all the impersonations on their own records.
