TV Schedule 2021/2022
Welcome to the tv series schedule thread. The good news is that things are back to normal this year. Last year's schedule was very limited due to production delays associated with coronavirus. Things are back in full swing now and afaik every series is back on track.
Every effort is made to include all series which may be of potential interest to all forum users however the majority of the series are US produced series and thus the air dates provided are the US network air dates. This list serves to bring exciting tv to your attention and if you wish to watch them on terrestrial tv/sky/virgin etc further queries will need to be made for the UK air dates. Given the rise of streaming services it will come as no surprise that some of the series are Netflix and Amazon and thus will be available if you subscribe to those services. Please click on the individual series links for further information regarding the series and the network/services which they are available on. As I mentioned above I endeavour to include a variety of series to appeal to everyone. The majority of the series below are US network broadcast series and as you are aware there are many many streaming services now such as Amazon, Netflix, Disney, HBO, Apple to name but a few. If you hear of a new series coming out which you think may be of interest to other users drop a link in this thread and I will add it to the list. The thread will be continuously updated as new series and information becomes available and aired series will be removed so check back every month and there will no doubt be something new which may be of interest. Is Blood and Treasure ever coming back ?
|
Re: Fall TV Schedule 2021/2022
It has been renewed for a second season but production was delayed last year due to covid. You would have thought they would have it ready for this year/season but there isn't a release date yet. If I see anything I will let you know.

Well that 4400 "teaser" was a complete waste of time.
Its the first I have heard of La Brea, that does look worth further investigation. |

This is one of those rare occasions when me and Paul are in agreement :p: I absolutely loved her in Stargate Atlantis but I can't stand series like this.

Re: Fall TV Schedule 2021/2022
Midnight Mass isn't my kind of series but I'll defo be giving Y: The Last Man a go; I love post apocalyptic survival series and if it is on Hulu it should be good.
|
Re: Fall TV Schedule 2021/2022
I've seen the Last Man trailer previously and added it to my list to check out.
The other one looks a bit weird and a little too much like a horror series, probably wont bother. |

I almost gave up in Episode 1, it took far too long to get to the actual event, and then it was pretty lame, just lots of people (well men) falling over, a couple of cars slowly bumping into each other, oh, and one plane coming down. By the time I was on episode 3 I already knew I wasnt going to bother with it further, its just so slow and uninteresting. |

Re: Fall TV Schedule 2021/2022
:D As always me and Paul have opposing views. I have only watched the first episode but I enjoyed it. Instead of diving straight into the drama of everyone dying they chose to establish several characters and some back story, presumably because they are the core characters which are going to be focused on in the rest of the season. I am looking forward to watching the next couple of episodes to see how it grows and where it goes but I am not going to get to them until Sunday or Monday. Atm it feels like modern Jeremiah.

Re: Fall TV Schedule 2021/2022
La Brea is really bad. You can see what it is trying to do but it is very much a tick box exercise and a case of going through the motions to get from A to B.
|
Re: Fall TV Schedule 2021/2022
LOL, Ive been waiting for you to come along and slate it. ;)
Its certainly not brilliant, and is somewhat predictable, but its midly interesting as well. I want to see how it plays out, so I will keep up with it for the moment. I do hope it resolves stuff in season 1 though, so far I dont think it strong enough to get more. |

La Brea was filmed in Australia ?
Wow, thats really odd given its set in Los Angeles. |

Well what a flipping fantastic second season of See. It built on everything established in season 1 and improved every aspect of it. It should serve as a shining example of how every series should grow and develop. The production quality it amazing.

Re: Fall TV Schedule 2021/2022
I watched the first episode of 4400.
It wasnt brilliant, but not a complete disaster. BLM & LGBT will probably love it ... me, not so much. The 4400 were initially sucked up (pretty literally) and dumped inside the first five minutes. Of course, as we predicted from the trailers, the vast majority are black or coloured. I counted 2 white members, but then we probably only saw < 100 of the so called 4400, so who knows how the rest worked out. As also expected, it started ticking the hollywood PC boxes pretty quickly. The main agent is a black lesbian (try to contain your surprise), plus of course the inevitable nasty [white] security guard. Add to that the other predictable elements, the do gooder (with missing brother) and re-married husband of the [briefly] escaped 4400 member. I will give it some more episodes to see where it goes, but its nowhere near as good as the original. |
Re: Fall TV Schedule 2021/2022
I dont know if i can even be bothered tbh. I might leave it until the xmas break when i have ran out of stuff to watch and see what it is like. Tbh though, it has been so long since i have seen the original that i might watch that again instead.

Re: Fall TV Schedule 2021/2022
Well that's a terrible trailer.
Having watched it, I still have no clue what the programme is actually about. If thats supposed to make people (i.e. me) want to see it, then its failed completely. |
Re: Fall TV Schedule 2021/2022
yeah I thought that as well. It wasn't exactly gripping.
|
Re: Fall TV Schedule 2021/2022
Well, I'm giving 4400 one more episode, but its looking very likely I will drop it.
Aside from the blatent PC agenda, it's just poor & boring, I skipped through quite a few bits last week, so if its as bad again this week, I'm dumping it. |
