Nice home game to start for Stevenage, home to Notts County. Hopefully Teddy will be as good a manager as he was a striker.

With everyone interested in Charlie Austin and refusing to drag it out into nothing, Newcastle have instead made contact with Bas Dost, aside from Borussia it could be done soon. £9 million was accepted and McClaren spoke with the player yesterday.

Most papers are reporting it. It won't happen, he just wants more money from Madrid. He will probably sign a new deal in the next few weeks...
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Which means Man Utd wont get picks on any RM players?
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
On the subject of Man Utd...
Cracking goal by Lingard tonight. I like him, did well against Portugal too. |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Maarten Stekelenburg on a season-long loan
http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/artic...m-2502863.aspx I've always thought of him as a decent keeper. Has Forster got a return date? |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Rumours very strong on Cech now. That would be a fantastic signing for us. *Gulp*.

Papers keep linking Newcastle with Austin but I'm pretty certain Newcastle won't pay the £15m asked whilst West Ham and others would, Bas Dost is the more likely.
Austin would also stick with London anyway. Assuming West Ham bid the £15 million then I'd call it a done deal. |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Nathaniel Clyne for £12.5m down from £15m. What happened at Southampton did they pity Liverpool?

Alderweireld to spuds is classic comedy too - another sideways move. Obviously more interested in a fat pay packet than ambition.... |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Schneiderlin?
|
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Remember it does generally take a while for players to bed in but rest assured if that does not happen this season you can have them all back at a very reasonable price Sir.;)

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
It will be interesting to see if brenda can bring out the best from the players he is buying.
Scattercash mode doesn't guarantee success as he proved spectacularly last season. As far as Schneiderlin is concerned I really don't have a clue. He should go to Arsenal if he has any sense. The difference between him and clyne is the contract term left, hence a much higher fee ( that and he is a much better player ) So we will lose 2 players, Ronald has already replaced one....... |

This is quite interesting now, a lot of people reporting that he isn't just doing this to get an improved contract at Madrid. Also its being reported that we are holding out for £35million for De Gea or we will let his contract run out and let him go for free at the end of next season. |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
I see ManU are in pole position for Schneiderlin today.
Is he likely to start most games? |
Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Real Madrid want Koscielny to replace Ramos. That wont happen but if by chance it does this summer Real Madrid will have to throw the whole white house at Arsenal.

For me, Schneiderlin and Ramos are pretty much exactly what we need now. We need a leader at the back with expereince and that is what Ramos will give us, we will need it especially when De Gea is gone. He can't be more error prone than we what we already have... |
