Great looking station Halcyon, I think I have a friend lives near there, I may have to nag her into a trip to see her (to get a pic of the station) :)

£5m bid for new station at Kenilworth

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england...shire-21588825

It's madness that it doesn't have a station, trains whizz by on the single line section between Coventry and Leamington Spa, doubling the track and building a station would be such a benefit to the area. Would probably bring more visitors to Kenilworth castle too.

l absolutely agree totally Raven because as we know the numbers of train passengers is growing year on year and will grow even further in the next 10 years and we are now seeing the number of Station Train and Track projects being announced all the time due to the strong ongoing demand.

Excellent news.:tu:

Always good to see the preserved lines get linked back to the mainline. Opens up so many opportunities for them to get more visitors as well as serving the communities they serve.

I'd have thought it was more likely to be the guard (train manager whatever they're calling them this week) If she was in the middle of the train (probably a desiro unit) the driver surely wouldn't have heard it.

That said I do know of an incident with a friend of mine (driver) who had a passenger sat right behind him with music blasting out of their mobile (was tinny and awful taste in music apparently) he used the PA to tell them to turn it down or use headphones :)
