I'm not sure how well that will work as a strategy. Sky drops the charge for the Asian pack and simultaneously adds HD versions of many of the channels. VM then continues to offer the channels in SD only but keeps the charge. I would think that could quite possibly create some churn. Let's see how this one plays out.

Pay TV companies are now seeing more resistance to price rises so it may not happen for some time.

Mike Fries has told LG shareholders that they are conscious of pricing in the UK and that consumers here are increasingly price-conscious. Read into that what you will, but he added they need to "give people more for more."

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...siness-1015543

This on the back of comments to investors at the last financial results they they got last November''s price rises wrong.

We feel it will happen as early as September due to Sky Sports or BT Sports.

Sky always put them up an month before Virgin need to "pass it on".

You could also argue due to the lack of investment in there own content, getting uhd material and get missing channels maybe they should absorb the rise they give nothing back

We have had no news of it.

We hear it something to do with Colors and Rishtey and will be own by Viacom18 and we seen info that MTV are getting pay to use the brand.

But as far as we know no more new channels bar Brit Asia TV is testing right now to launch UK Wide on Virgin Media UK.

I'd be happy if they fixed the fault preventing V6 customers from listening to RTE radio!
